INTERNATIONAL SCIENCE AND ENGINEERING FAIR JUDGES WANTED!!

60th INTERNATIONAL SCIENCE & ENGINEERING FAIR

Each year, the PTOS provides judges for this event as a public relations gesture, to promote knowledge of patents, and encourage innovation and scientific progress by today’s youth.  Detailed information and an application form to be a JUDGE at this year’s INTEL INTERNATIONAL SCIENCE & ENGINEERING FAIR is posted for PTOS members at http://www.ptos.org/committees/science_fair/international.html.  Additional forms are available from:

Applications to be an INTERNATIONAL SCIENCE FAIR JUDGE must be turned in to ALAN CHEN or JULIE ANNE WATKO by: NOON ON JANUARY 16, 2009

The categories for which judges will be selected are: CHEMISTRY, BIOCHEMISTRY, MICROBIOLOGY, PHYSICS, ENGINEERING, COMPUTER SCIENCE, ENVIRONMENTAL SCIENCE, MEDICINE & HEALTH, AND EARTH & SPACE SCIENCES

The judging team selected will represent the PTOS.  The judges will choose one Grand Award winner, seven First Place award winners, and eight Second Runner-Up award winners from over 1500 finalist entries originating from over 40 nations worldwide.
