The USPTO Military Association and the Patent & Trademark Office Society’s Education Committee proudly present:

A Panel on Military Service and American Citizenship + An Air Force Birthday Party In Honor of Constitution Day / Citizenship Day 2024 12:30–2:00 p.m. Eastern, Tuesday, September 17 Jefferson Conference Center and via Microsoft Teams (link to follow in a later email)

A panel of speakers will discuss their varied experiences of coming to the United States, serving in the military both here and abroad, and their own personal pathways to becoming American citizens. We’ll conclude with a celebration of the Air Force Birthday, with cake available for in-person attendees.

Established as a national observance by Act of Congress in 2004 (but with origins nearly a century before), Constitution Day / Citizenship Day commemorates the signing and significance of the United States Constitution. The observance also recognizes American citizenship by birth or naturalization and the accompanying civic responsibilities and opportunities.

No other time has been authorized for the event.
