PTOS CELEBRATES 225TH PATENT ACT ANNIVERSARY
T-SHIRT DESIGN CONTEST
OVERVIEW OF PATENT ACT
The first American Patent Act was signed into law by President George Washington on April 10, 1790, to promote innovation by providing the power to grant or refuse inventor patents for exclusive rights for their creations (“The U.S. Patent System Celebrates 212 Years”. CONTEST GUIDELINES
1. The contest is open to all PTOS members, except select PTOS Board Members who will be judging the designs.
2. Entries must be your own original work.
3. The theme of the design contest is PTOS Celebrates 225th Patent Act Anniversary.
4. The design must include the PTOS logo, which can be downloaded from the following web link: http://goo.gl/uL1vRA
5. The design must be hand drawn or computer generated and emailed in .png, .bmp, .jpg, .jpeg, .tif, .gif, .pdf, .eps, .svg format to ptos.tshirt.design.contest@gmail.com with your name, art unit, office room number, and office phone number by Friday, May 29, 2015, at 11:59 PM.
WINNERS & PRIZES
The winning design will be printed on t-shirts. The top three winners will be selected to win prizes. Winners will be announced by July 2015, notified by email, and recognized on the PTOS website and in PTOS email.
